Here are just a few of my favourite messages left by guests at Emma’s Janie’s School Ceilidh. We had a brilliant night and raised more than £1760 which is amazing! Thanks to everyone’s help and support so far; we have raised 31% or our total, an impressive £7682.
We wouldn’t have been able to reach this amount without the generous support of:
David Lloyd, Aberdeen
Focus Do it All, Peterhead
The Palace Hotel, Peterhead
The Happy Plant Garden Centre
Dobbies Garden World
James Dunn House Aberdeen
Aberdeen Football Club
NorDan UK Ltd
Logica UK Ltd
Ugie Salmon Fishings
Harry Dougal, Golf Professional
The raffle was really successful, as was Gordon’s Heads and Tails game (I wish I had pictures!). The band Iron Broo were brilliant, as were their enthusiastic dancers:
If anyone from the Ceilidh has pictures, please upload them to our Facebook Page. If you’re already a member of our group, please do also “like” our page as it’s new and will make it easier for us to share pictures and things and spread the word wider than the group.
I can’t thank Emma enough for organising the Ceilidh and tirelessly selling tickets, collecting prizes and just being a complete superhero! She’s already started on her next project which you can get involved with (details to follow soon) and is totally shaming me into getting my a!*e in gear ;O)
While I’m saying thank you, I would also like to extend thanks to Neal Morris and the whole Dunbar Platform who’s charity committee donated £800 to our cause. Thank you so much, it was really kind of you and really gave us a boost that we weren’t expecting.
In other news, if you’re in Peterhead on 28th May please visit the Palace Hotel for our Coffee Morning. I’ll post more details soon but if you can volunteer: baking, prizes, time, please let me know and I’ll pass your details on to the organisers.
I can’t tell you how grateful, surprised and humbled I am that we have come this far so quickly and I can’t wait for us to get our school site confirmed and for building to start. Please keep following for more details and post your thoughts, comments and ideas below.
