First pictures from The Janie Evans School

I can’t tell you how pleased I am to be able to share these pictures with you from The Janie Evans School, Pursat Province, Bakan District, Cambodia 😀

Children cycling outside the school

A group of the younger students outside the front entrance with their teachers

Children playing outside the school

A long shot of the whole school building

Pupils looking over their books in the playground

Girls studying hard in the classroom

Pupils on their best behaviour (I wonder if it’s like that all the time!)

More students studying hard 🙂

Boys and girls studying together

It makes me so proud to share these pictures with you and to know that because of all your hard work and generosity, we have made a real difference to the lives of these children and their families. It will be a total dream come true to get over to the school and share with them all of our stories of fundraising and to let them know that we will always be there to support the school and them.

There are still lots of opportunities to  help with fundraising events and sponsorship. Ashley Boyes is running the Baker Hughes 10K later this month so please visit her JustGiving page and lend your support. Marlyne Moore’s also running a coffee morning at The Palace Hotel on Saturday 19th May from 10 – 12 noon so please pop along (it’ll be worth it for the cake alone, trust me!).

Thank you so much for getting us this far 😀

  2. Lovely pictures Jennifer. I am sure your Mum is smiling down on you and your family and friends who have contributed to fundraising the money need to build this school. It is truly wonderful and a lovely reminder of the love she had for life. She always encouraged you and your friends to do your best and I am sure your Mum will never be forgotten.

    • Thank you Evelyn, that’s really kind of you. We also wouldn’t be here without people like you and Emma and all your hard work. This has been such a team effort and a truly amazing journey for us all, thank you so much for being along for the ride 🙂 xxx
